The Vow Lab at VibeLovely. A monthly wedding-vows franchise: full vows from real couples, annotated, edited, with the editorial logic for what landed and what could be tighter. Each month features one real couple’s vows, walks through the four-part structure, names the moves that made it work, and offers the kind of editing notes a couples therapist and a magazine editor would give in the same room. The Vow Lab launches in June 2026 alongside Index #1.

What the Vow Lab is

Most wedding vows go into a drawer after the ceremony. The Vow Lab gives them a longer life. We feature one set of real wedding vows per month, with the couple’s permission, and walk through them as editorial, what works, what to study, what we would tighten if it were a draft we received from a writer. The point is not critique; the point is showing readers what the genre actually looks like when it lands.

Cadence

• First Friday of every month — one new annotated vow pair
• Monthly newsletter feature — the Sunday Reset before each Vow Lab drop teases the next pair

What gets featured

Real vows from real couples who give us permission to publish. We are looking for the texture of the moment they got married, the specific story, the small promise, the line that lands. The annotated version preserves their full vows; we simply add editorial reflection in the margins.

We do not feature: vows that are entirely templated; vows so short they leave nothing to discuss; vows with private detail the couple is not comfortable sharing.

Submission

Couples can submit their vows to [email protected]. We respond to every submission. If yours is featured, we coordinate with you on what to keep private, what to anonymize, and how to credit you. There is no compensation; the feature is the recognition.

The reader benefit

For readers writing their own vows: the Vow Lab is a working library of what the genre can do. Reading 12 real annotated vow pairs in a year is the best vow-writing practice we know of. The patterns repeat; the moves are learnable; the cliches become visible. 6. November 2026: Vows from a couple who chose to read each other’s privately and then say something brief to the room
